Global Production Engineer

We offer a varying and interesting work in a very modern production process. You will work out of Umeå for our global Production Engineering department. The department works globally for Alo Group and our five manufacturing units, located in France, China, USA and Sweden.

Main responsibilities:
• everyday rationalisations as well as projects relating to working environment and efficiency.
• investigate new or develop existing production process equipment,
• analyse and further improve working methods
• responsible for machine investments
• participate in and/or lead process development projects

Qualifications required for this position include a university degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. A few years’ experience from production engineering within mechanical industry would be preferable. In this position you will work with both technique and people, therefore good people and communication skills is a prerequisite.
In this position you will be combining technology with people, so we assume that you possess excellent oral and written communication skills. You are accustomed to participating and leading both large and small projects. You are analytical, proactive and ensuring that projects are finalized efficiently is  important to you.

Experienced Mechanical Engineer

The Product Integration Department in Umeå is responsible for the construction of the interface between the tractor and the loader. As Mechanical Engineer, Product Integration you will mainly work with mechanical and hydraulic construction, initially you will be supported by more experienced colleagues. The position is placed in Umeå; we hope to fill this position as soon as possible. This position will eventually require a substantial part of travelling, mainly within Europe.

We are looking for a person with a university degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and a few years’ experience of industrial engineering. Experience from agricultural industry is an advantage.

Ålö operates globally, therefore excellent English communication skills are a requirement, and other language skills are an advantage. Integrity and good communication skills are important. In this position you will work very independently and eventually you will be responsible for the entire process, from start to finished product. Therefore it is important that you are a self-starter and an energetic person who thrives on solving technical problems. A genuine interest in technique is an advantage.
